Sales Pitch
5:25 PM
Well I just decided to blog again! Not much happens here so that's why I don't blog a lot.
Let's see. I had an interview with Nu Skin (where Jensen works) yesterday. And yes I used my husband as a reference :-) The position is a part time beauty adviser at their product store. HA. No matter how hard I try to get some sort of Receptionist job full time somewhere, I seem to be pulled back into the beauty industry. But I don't even know if I have the job yet.
They'll let me know by like next Wednesday. This would be a great job because my hours are set, which was my problem at Macy's.
Oh, and this is funny. So during my interview (there's 3 people interviewing me-one of them being Jensen's manager), the other manager gives me a sales pitch. She asks me to try to sell my favorite beauty product to them, whatever that may be.
Now the questions they asked me before this one I felt like I just totally BSed them, but when they asked me this one, I got really excited inside and had a "I GOT THIS" feeling haha!
So I started telling them about this foundation primer that I actually just bought like a couple weeks ago and that I've LOVED ever since I got it in the mail.
I was telling them stuff like, "Okay so my favorite product is my foundation primer. It makes my foundation go on like butter! It helps your foundation stay on all day, because you know it can come off of clothes easily but a primer helps your foundation adhere to your skin. Its helps your skin stay matte all day, helps cover acne scars, and I just love it!"
And then one of the girls that is interviewing me goes,"Which primer is this??"
And we all started laughing! It was funny.
But that's not even the funniest part.
Later I get texts from Jensen and he's like, "The girls here want to know which primer you use." And then today I get another text from him and he's like "Now she wants to know which foundation works well with this primer."
HAHA! Wow did I sell them or did I sell them?! ;-)
Looking back I feel like I could have said so much more that I love about it, but I get really nervous during interviews, so I kept it short due to...my mind going completely blank.
What's really funny to me was that I was totally honest. Every single thing I said about that primer is true. After I got it in the mail last week, I put it on, and then as I was putting on my foundation, I was seriously thinking "Oh my word my foundation goes on like butter!!"
And I used to think that foundation primer was pointless! I thought I wouldn't see or feel a difference. For years I never cared to use it, until I just decided to give it a try a couple weeks ago. Now I feel dumb because all those years my foundation didn't look as good as it could have. Oh well. I've got lots of years to wear it!
What else is goin' on. Jensen is more than half way done with this Spring semester! He's such a hard worker. Oh and I've started working out, like on a regular basis. And I'm SO SORE. Like it even hurts to sit because you have to use your quads to sit down. But I'd like to be able to run in 5k races again. I did a couple in high school and they were really fun! And you get prizes afterwards lol, but that's not my motivation :-) I'd just like to get in really good shape again.
I'm beyond grateful that the weather is WARM and there is SUN!! That makes me happy. This turned out to be a much longer post than I thought.
