Happy Halloween!
2:08 PM
I actually don't really care about Halloween. I hate haunted houses, movies, etc. We don't have any kids either. So it's not too exciting. I actually worked on Halloween and Jensen went to the ward Trunk or Treat. We were allowed to dress up, but I don't have a costume, so I just wore my pumpkin headband :-)

So for a little while long time now, Jensen has been trying to get me to make new dinners.
To word it delicately, I don't really like cooking. Or trying new things in general.
I am so like a turtle. I love to stay inside my safe and comfy shell.
And he certainly knows this.
But finally, after months and months, I decided to poke my head out just a little bit and make Crock Pot Lasagna.
Jensen really helped me to not be so scared.
He helped me put the lasagna together yesterday morning even though he's extremely busy, so I wasn't doing something new all alone.
What a sweet husband I have to be so sensitive to me :-)

Here's my first lasagna! It was really good! Except the edges were burnt. Really bad. But we ate the middle part which was very yummy! |

So then all I had to do right before we ate was make a salad and garlic bread :-) |
It was actually really easy to make. And it was nice to eat something new and homemade.
But I guess cooking it for 8 hours is too long. Maybe next time I'll do 7 hours.
Jensen didn't even care that the edges were burnt. He was just so happy that I was doing something new. And I definitely want a happy husband :-)
So I'm slowly stepping out of my comfort zone to make new meals.
Look at me growing up.
